For organisations where data sovereignty is a hard requirement, AI Assistent offers the Bring Your Own Database (BYOD) option. Instead of your customer data, conversations and knowledge base articles being stored on AI Assistent's shared infrastructure, the entire database runs on your own servers, your own cloud environment or a data centre of your choice within the European Union.
The setup is straightforward. You configure a compatible database — supported options include MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL — and provide AI Assistent with the connection details via a secure input form. IIPN stores only the encrypted connection parameters and the minimal billing information needed for subscription administration. All other data lives entirely on your own infrastructure.
You can revoke the connection at any time. Once you do, AI Assistent has no further access to your data. No export needed, no migration process and no vendor lock-in: your data was and always will be yours. This is particularly relevant for organisations in sectors such as healthcare, financial services and government, where GDPR compliance and sector-specific legislation impose strict requirements on data location and accessibility.
