What is BYOK?
With BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) you connect your own API key from OpenAI, Anthropic or Google to the platform. Your AI conversations run directly through your own provider account.
Why use BYOK?
- Lower costs if you have negotiated better rates with the model provider.
- Your own data processing agreements with the provider.
- Full auditability of API calls in your own provider dashboard.
- Utilise enterprise credits or committed spending at a provider.
How to set up BYOK
- Go to Settings → AI models → Own API key.
- Choose the provider.
- Paste your API key — stored with AES-256 encryption, never shown in plaintext.
- Choose which model to use per bot via your own key.
You can mix BYOK and platform-account models across different bots. Keys can be replaced or revoked at any time.
